About .bd Domain Registration

.bd Domain (.com.bd, .net.bd, .org.bd, .edu.bd, .ac.bd, .gov.bd) is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Bangladesh. It is administered by the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, is the sponsoring organisation of .bd ccTLD. Bangladesh Telecommunications Company ltd (BTCL) have been delegated to maintain the registration service.

Any person / organization from all over the world can apply for registration of domain with DOT BD and it takes 4 working days to active the domain upon submitting order. DOT BD Domain can be registered initially for one year and subsequently renewable for further periods of one year. We encourage to submit order for minimum 2 years. It is very easy, no paper or authorization is required to register a domain in Bangladesh.

Registration Procedure

Submit Application to BTCL: Submit Received documents (Authorization letter from organization, National ID Photocopy, 2 Passport Size photograph) required for Domain registration to BTCL.

Demand Letter: Acceptance of Demand letter for Issuing Domain registration.

Payment: Payment deposited to bank and submit a copy to the BTCL office as a proof of payment.

Activation: BTCL process the registration within 2 Days after the receiving payment acknowledgment copy.
